Miley’s Messy Party “Can’t Stop”

When it comes to “changing your image”, there’s a good way, a bad way and a WTF way of doing it.

Seeing the pictures and teasers leading up to the release of the video for “We Can’t Stop“, I knew Miley Cyrus was definitely headed toward the latter of those choices.

Now that I’ve actually seen the video, I think we need a new category. This is beyond messy; in fact, it’s kind of hilarious.

The new clip hit the net today and the girl formerly known as “Hannah Montana” definitely goes over the limit with trying to beat away her kiddie image.

Some of the many highlights from the 20-year-old’s visual opus: the word “twerk” being spelled out in alphabet soup before Cyrus and her pals engage in actual twerking; massive teddy bears strapped to various backs; Cyrus making out with a doll of herself; smoke shooting out from a nonchalant guy’s crotch; and some dangerous-looking female wrestling. At the end of the clip, Cyrus cuddles up with a male torso in one shot and grabs a friend’s boob in another, proving that she is, indeed, about dat life.

Although it’s a complete visual and overall mess, I actually don’t dislike the video. In fact, it sort of helps the overall fun factor of the track — it will be interesting, however, to see if the clip will let the star be truly seen as an adult or just someone who is really trying too hard.

Check out the odd clip, after the jump.

MJ’s Ghost Exonerates Doctor

King of Pop Michael Jackson "This Is It!" 10 Show Concert Tour Press Conference

We all knew it would only be a matter of time before the wrongful death trial of Michael Jackson would take a massive turn on WTF Lane — but no one probably saw that it would be the ghost of the departed singer that would upstage everything.

During Tuesday’s arguments, the CEO of AEG Live (the concert promoters behind Jackson’s This Is It tour), Randy Phillips said during his testimony that he heard from Michael through a medium… who spoke to his close friend, Brenda Richie (the ex-wife of Lionel) and said that it wasn’t the fault of Dr. Conrad Murray which led to his passing.

In fact, it was Michael himself who caused his own death and apparently asked not to blame anyone else.

“Brenda called me to tell me that she was in communications with Michael either through a medium or directly,” Phillips told jurors about his talk with Richie, the ex-wife of singer Lionel Richie.

“She said Michael told her that it wasn’t Dr. Murray’s fault, that he had accidentally killed himself.”

Brian Panish, a lawyer for Michael Jackson’s family, objected to Phillips’ ghost story, calling it triple hearsay, since Phillips was relaying a chat from Richie, who had heard from a medium, who — allegedly — spoke to a dead Jacko.

And just in case that wasn’t odd enough, the judge actually allowed the testimony to stand.

Seriously.

Phillips’ strangeness came from an explanation of an e-mail he sent out on August 18, 2009 and although he initially claimed what the contents of said message held, he came clean on it during the admission.

Which, again, was allowed to stand.

In an even stranger connection, Michael’s surviving brothers are set to perform at next month’s BET Awards, which is being held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles — which is owned by AEG.

“I hope the Jackson brothers survive their AEG Live experience”, replied the Jackson family lawyer, Kevin Boyle.

Shady shade from beyond the grave, yo.

Kanye West Still Thinks He’s Better Than Everyone

Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2013 - Christian Dior - Arrivals

It seems like Kanye West has broken his own silence.

Three years ago, he swore he’d never do another interview after a bad showdown on the Today Show, but in an interview with the New York Times, Yeezy definitely keeps the conversation going.

And of course, his favorite topic is himself and how grandiose everything about him is.

Of course, there’s the claims of greatness (he compares himself to Michael Jordan and late Apple CEO Steve Jobs) and how he’s just misunderstood with his many, many rants against everything and anything (he says that it’s always a “fight for justice” when he goes off — guess that explains the sign outburst).

And of course, those who come after him will have to give him the proper respect he deserves:

“I am so credible and so influential and so relevant that I will change things. So when the next little girl that wants to be, you know, a musician and give up her anonymity and her voice to express her talent and bring something special to the world, and it’s time for us to roll out and say, ‘Did this person have the biggest thing of the year?’—that thing is more fair because I was there.”

Yeah… and it gets better. Head on after the jump.

Whitney’s Daughter Isn’t A Good Neighbor

"Sparkle" Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals

Her mother believed the children were our future, but when it comes to living with them, that’s a whole ‘nother story — and one with a rude twist if you happen to get them kicked out.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was recently evicted from a Georgia home with her ex-fiance / adopted brother / current boyfriend, Nick Gordon and left a parting gift for their troubles: a handwritten note of the nastiest variety that reeks of the self-entitlement that comes with having your late mother being known as “The Voice”.

Joshua Morse, the neighbor who lived underneath the couple with his wife and young child, says that after filing “ten different complaints” about noise,  he finally called management (repeatedly) and they dealt with the problem.

He found the note after he called Animal Control regarding a yorkie Bobbi and Nick seemingly left behind. The dog was eventually picked up hours later and he came across the note shortly thereafter — and posted it to his Facebook.

And it reads…

“Thanks

You are sh*t at the bottom of our shoe.
Thank You for making a hard year harder.
You are a miserable couple and always will be.
You were honored to have us living above you and you couldn’t stand such a young beautiful couple far more successful than you ever will be.

I pray your misery doesn’t rub off on your innocent little baby.”

Nice to know she’s just as sweet as her mother was, huh?

Maybe her family was right about not letting her have her inheritance just yet.

You can check out the actual note after the jump.

We Get It, Jada

"After Earth" New York City Premiere - Arrivals

Maybe it’s just the amount of stories I go through to whittle down to some more interesting, but I’m noticing Jada Pinkett Smith is really happy about her marriage to Will Smith and her family.

And I don’t think that necessarily a bad thing — but it does start to get minorly irksome when she gets a bit too preachy, which she does often.

Case in point: the actress recently sat down with Redbook and with all of the talk coming out regarding their so-called open marriage, she once again sung the praises of her man and just how perfect she thinks things are between them.

“What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can’t think of one. I’m sorry,” she told the magazine.

“Except if he did something bad to the kids—now we’ve got a problem.”

I’m guessing creating movies that bomb with their kids don’t count, but I digress.

“I have been affected by gossip and I know people who have been too”, she says of the many rumors without actually speaking on the many rumors. “I’ve seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel. At the end of the day, all that matters is: Do you love what you see when you look in the mirror? That is it, baby.”

So she loves her man… and she loves herself.

I miss it when she used to — you know, act.
