The entire ordeal of the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal had so many twist and turns, at times, it seemed like some kind of movie saga — but this was one story that unfortunately was taking place off-screen, especially for the other woman in the quadrangle: Rupert Sanders‘ soon-to-be ex-wife, Liberty Ross.
The former model opened up to digital magazine, The Edit, about the pain she felt in learning about the affair that ended up breaking up her marriage earlier this year and how she found the strength to stand again, partially due to a walk down the runway during New York’s Fashion Week.
“I was not in a good way at that point in my life and felt incredibly vulnerable,” the 34-year-old admitted. “Doing the show was daunting, but it was wonderful to get up there, show my strength and shine for someone who believes in me. I was very grateful.”
“Alex [Wang] called and asked me to do it,” she said of her appearance at the show, less than two months after the world found out what Sanders had done. “It was a defining moment and I felt honored to be supported by him during that difficult time.”
She mentioned that she still plans to act in the future (oddly enough, she played Snow White’s mother in the Huntsmen movie — with the Snow White character being played by Stewart, who’s poised to return for it’s sequel), saying that it helps her to feel “free and bizarrely at ease.”
