Motorola 9th Annual Anniversary Party - Arrivals

“How dare you only work 364 days this year? I can’t believe you got sick. That never happens to anyone…ever. You’re so lazy.

Name one person that has her schedule, sings while flying and is a mom. Seriously, people. Tired of seeing everyone giving her crap. We’re all human. Relax.”

- Kelly Clarkson, sticking by the amazing Pink after “rabid fans” attacked her for getting sick, forcing her to cancel a stop during her The Truth About Love tour.

Pink Gets Sick, Fans Get Sicker

They really went after the wrong woman.

The amazing Pink, who at one point didn’t even let an injury stop her from performing, had to unexpectedly cancel a England show during her The Truth About Love tour due to illness, but rather than being understanding, it sent some fans into an uproar, who attacked her via Twitter for cancelling.

“I sincerely apologize, AGAIN, for any inconvenience this may have caused you,” she wrote on her blog. “Sincerely. I actually rode by the venue, and saw some of you in line, and there was not a f–king thing I could do about any of it. Except cry. My heart was absolutely broken.”

She explained that she had gotten some hate mail due to the no-show, but considering her track record, it was completely unnecessary to go after her in the way some did.

“To those of you that expect and feel entitled to perfection; have a look at my track record—please—in general for tours past. I have an incredible record. I do not cancel and I do not take it for granted how much trouble people go to—from spending hard earned money they don’t have, to travel expenses and time and planning, etc. I take NONE of it for granted, EVER. ”

Unlike a couple of others, who cancel because the wind blows — or their weed does.

Pink is dealing with a ROTA virus and has been for some time, even performing while under the weather with it.

“I challenge any one of you to do what I do while sick with that”, the bad-ass shared. “You couldn’t do it.”

She also shared something that should’ve been noted by those fans: she’s a new mother.

“I have a two year old who is building her immune system by getting sick all over the place. And the fact that I even went on tour while being a full time mom is a miracle in itself.”

As usual, she even took the naysayers in stride, apologizing to the “loyal and understanding fans” and telling the harsh ones to “kindly kiss my entire almost back to healthy ass.”

Get well soon, Pink!

“It’s my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back. I’ve always had an issue with [the idea that]: ‘OK, we’ve both decided to do this. Why am I a slut and you’re the player? You didn’t get anything from me that I didn’t get from you.’”

- the awesome Pink, sharing how her many songs about getting it on are more empowering than most realize.

Pink Is Always At Her (Maternal) Best

The legend of Alecia Moore, better known to most as rock star Pink, continues to shine and it’s things like a moment at her concert at Sunday night that shows you not only is she talented, she’s an amazing person and mother as well.

In the middle of performing her hit “Who Knew” at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, the 33-year-old noticed a young girl who was clearly distressed in the audience. She asked the guitar player on stage with her to stop playing to make sure the young one was alright.

“Is everything OK right here? Is this little girl all right? What’s going on? Why is she crying? Why is she upset?” she asked.

Apparently, there had been a fight in the crowd near her, which had obviously frightened the little one.

“Because there was a fight? You all are fighting around a little girl? C’mon…all right, all right, I know, everyone’s about to fight. I know, I’m from here”, she joked.

She then gave her attention back to the little girl and officially went into Mom Mode.

“Honey, do you want this frog and this Rice Krispie treat?”

Who knows where they came from (they may have been for Pink’s daughter, Willow Sage, whom she said would be on tour with her), but the little girl accepted and was lifted to the stage where the singer could properly come through on her offer, calling the little girl “beautiful” and thanking her for coming to the show.

“Are we OK now”, she said back to the crowd. “Cut it out, y’all. We’re grown-ass women”, before going back to the song.

I have no words for how amazing that woman truly is.

Check out the sweet moment after the jump.

Quote of the Day

"Wetten, dass..?" TV Series at the Rothaus Arena in Freiburg - December 8, 2012

“I was always considered butch. A girl like me is someone who doesn’t rest on her looks, who has had people tell me from day one, ‘You’re never going to get magazine covers because you’re not pretty enough. I’m totally comfortable with that. I know my strong points: I work hard, I have talent, I’m funny, and I’m a good person.

“Feeling beautiful to me is when I feel good in my leather pants and my husband grabs my ass. Or when I’m sitting on a mat and my daughter runs to me with complete joy. Beautiful has never been my goal. Joy is my goal—to feel healthy and strong and powerful and useful and engaged and intelligent and in love. It’s about joy. And there’s such joy now.”

- the amazing Pink, just being her always amazing and truly joyful self.
