Paris Hilton’s New Music — With Lil Wayne and Company

66th Annual Cannes Film Festival - de Grisogono Jewellery 20th Anniversary Cocktail Party

A new female is going to be a part of the Cash Money Records line-up — wonder what Nicki Minaj is going to have to say about this.

Oddly enough, the person joining the crew is none other than Paris Hilton.

The 32-year-old has signed with the label that holds a full hip-hop roster of today’s top artists of the genre, including Lil Wayne (who is the president of the company), Drake and Nicki.

It’s honestly not surprising that she’s releasing music — this would actually be the follow-up to 2006′s Paris, which sold over a million copies worldwide and was surprisingly very good. However, she’s releasing a collection of house music on the label; something they’re not really known for.

According to reports, the EDM album will be produced by Afrojack will feature other YMCMB hip hop acts such as Lil Wayne. The threesome previously collaborated on Hilton’s single “Last Night.”

Birdman officially announced the news on his Twitter page, welcoming Paris to the Cash Money crew.

“Welcome@ParisHilton to tha Family.RichgangRichgirl.YMCMB,” he wrote, before adding we can expect new music from the hotel heiress “soon.”

The hotel heiress, who makes quite a bit of money on her own, also teased a  track that features Wayne, expressing that she “can’t wait” for the song to hit the public.

The name of the track? “Last Night (I Wanna Bang You)”.

Suddenly, I really don’t have much hope for this project.

You can check out the track yourself — if you’re feeling lucky enough — after the jump.

Lil Wayne Tells The Truth About Life And (Near) Death

53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

In news that rocked the internet to its core two weeks ago, rapper Lil Wayne ended up in Cedars-Sinai hospital with many saying that a heavy set of seizures following a drug overdose left him near death.

But in a strange twist, Wayne himself not even hours later that it was all a lot of smoke and mirrors and that things were nowhere near as dire as originally perceived.

So what was the real deal?

Well, Wayne himself cleared the whole thing up during a radio interview with Power 106 Los Angeles and did admit that he did almost exit this world all too soon and it’s all due to him being an epileptic.

“This wasn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure”, he admitted. “I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them.”

This time around, Weezy had three seizures in a row that brought his heart rate down to a very scary 30%.

“I could’ve died”, he said. “”I have people around me who know how to handle [my condition]. This time was real bad because I had three back to back and the third one was so bad.”

He also shared the reason for the seizures had nothing to do with an overdose of sizzurp and that he was just “plain stress and no rest. That’s just typical me.”

Well, do yourself a favor and get some rest. Glad to see him back on his feet.

Lil Wayne Goes Home

Less than a week following some crazy  rumors that he was on his death bed after a drug overdose, Lil Wayne has made a big enough recovery to have been released from Cedars-Sinai Hospital last night.

He was moved out of the ICU yesterday and was said to have been walking on his own with the help of hospital staff, eating solid foods and was to be released soon, but it seemed like sooner was better than later and Wayne was officially set free from their care last night.

Sources close to him said that he was still pretty low on energy, but was doing much better and taking some much needed down time to full recover.

Whatever the story was, glad to see him doing well. Stay away from that sizzurp, Wayne! It’s no good for you!

Rumors of Lil’ Wayne’s Near-Death? Greatly Exaggerated

Lil Wayne in Concert in Concert at The United Center in Chicago, IL- April 1, 2011

Guess you just can’t keep Weezy down.

The story regarding Lil’ Wayne’s near demise after an onset of repeated seizures seems to keep spinning into an odd territory with close sources and confidantes of Weezy himself saying that the situation was nowhere near as dire as originally mentioned.

Mack Maine, the president of Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment tweeted that the 30-year old was “alive and well” and watching a basketball game with him last night, saying that Wayne would update the world soon.

“We will be releasing an official statement shortly”, he released after that, “but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe…that’s false!!”

Close friend and collaborator Birdman sent his own Tweet out not too long before Wayne (allegedly) sent his, saying Wayne was doing better and would “be home soon”.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Canter in LA wouldn’t share any patient information and reps for the man born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. said he was “recovering” and would give “no further information”.

Well, whatever is going on with him, we continue to wish him a speedy recovery — and maybe for him to reveal some insight as to what’s actually going on!
