The Biebs May Be Prosecuted

Baby, baby, baby, no!

Admittedly, Justin Bieber has somewhat calmed his antics down over these last few days — well, there was that drug bust not so long ago, but it’s a near fight with a neighbor that may have him singing for his life in front of a judge, if LA prosecutors have their way.

Back in late March, the 19-year-old got into an altercation with a neighbor who claimed the singer and his pals were causing some loud mischief in their shared space. When confronted, Justin got in the guy’s face and spit on him, threatening to “f*cking kill” the dude.

The case was investigated by the LA County Sheriff’s Dept. and it was sent to the DA on Tuesday.

Sheriff’s investigators are urging prosecutors to charge the singer with battery.  We’re told cops don’t think Bieber should go to jail, but he needs serious counseling because of his repeated and escalating bad behavior.

Law enforcement sources tell us … Sheriff’s investigators are worried that Bieber is either going to “get his ass kicked” or “someone’s gonna get a $2 million payday” unless the singer changes his tune.

As for whether this will see a court room, it’s unsure. A decision has yet to be made, but will be soon.

The moral of the story: don’t be a douche.

Shakira’s Ex-Boyfriend Wants Some Money

Shakira Honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 8, 2011

Her hips may not lie, but according to Shakira, her ex-boyfriend is.

Before her relationship with soccer star and now baby daddy, Gerard Pique, she dated Antonio de la Rua, the son of the former president of Argentina.

Last year, he filed a lawsuit against the newest judge of The Voice for $100 million, claiming that he was also her manager throughout their 11-year relationship and helped out to score her “lucrative deals”.

The singer responded to the claim last week, saying that she was already an international success when they met in 2000 and that he never held an official title, although he did help her out with some decisions regarding her career.

However, there was a document signed in 2006 that implicitly expressed that if the two should ever part, both parties would leave the relationship with their own assets.

She’s asking to have the lawsuit thrown out immediately.

Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Suit — Who’s In; Who Doesn’t Want To Be

If the upcoming case of Michael Jackson’s wrongful death suit (allegedly) by the hands of concert promoters AEG and Dr. Conrad Murray were to be televised, at this point, I’d be all in with a bowl of popcorn — the list of potential witnesses and what they’re going to reveal are growing by the moment.

First off, Michael’s two oldest children, Prince and Paris, are set to take the stand to give their accounts on what happened on the day of June 25, 2009 — when Michael passed away at the age of 50.

A source close to the family told The Mirror:“Both heard and saw certain things during Michael’s last few weeks alive. Prince was always going to give evidence, but Paris’s inclusion is something of a shock.

“She was very strong and assured in her depositions with AEG’s lawyers so we decided she should talk too.”

Another choice for a witness from the Jackson family is rock legend, Prince — who never actually worked with Michael at all throughout his career, but as he’s worked with AEG before, Katherine Jackson (Michael’s mother) is hoping he could shed some light on what it’s like working with them.

However, the craziest part of the story isn’t even about who may be hitting the stand; it’s about who has pretty much threatened that he shouldn’t be involved: Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s physician.

More on that after the jump.

The Numbers Game With “Elmo”: Another Accuser Steps Forward

The Producers Guild of America's 2nd Annual Celebration of Diversity - Arrivals

It seems with all of the young men who have accused former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of getting it on with them while they were underage, we would’ve heard about the lot of them a lot sooner — but with the claims that don’t seem to end, yet another young man has stepped forward saying that he, too was abused by Clash at a young age.

The fifth accuser, 25-year-old Kevin Kiadii says that when he was 16, he met Clash on a telephone sex line and eventually met up with him (being chauffeured by Clash’s luxury car) in his apartment, where he was given alcohol and lured into Kevin’s bed when Kiadii was 16 years old.

The suit, filed yesterday in NYC’s U.S. District Court, says the young man didn’t realize the effect it had on him until last year — when all of the other men made their claims.

“As a compliant victim showered with attention and affection, Kiadii could not reasonably have been expected to know that he had been injured and that Kevin Clash had caused his injuries until calendar year 2012,”  states court papers.

Michael Berger, Clash’s attorney, calls the newest case, “meritless and barred by the statute of limitations”, adding that Clash will “defend this case forcefully.”

As for the actual Elmo, he’s since been replaced with another voice actor, who was spotted at the White House Easter egg hunt over the weekend.

The Jacksons: (No) Daddy Issues

"Michael Jackson Immortalized" Hand and Footprint Ceremony in Hollywood on January 26, 2012

The wrongful death suit regarding Michael Jackson is sure to bring up a lot of questions during the actual case, but the Jackson family (namely Katherine, Prince, Paris and Blanket — well, maybe not him. He’s only 11) are asking for one thing not to be brought up: the truth behind the paternity of Michael’s children.

More legal documents have been obtained from the upcoming case and the family is requesting that any questions regarding if Michael actually fathered any of his three children be omitted from the trial, saying that AEG (the concert promoters behind This Is It) or the jury have no right to query it.

Also asking to be left out:

  • any evidence that shows the Jackson family are in any financial jams. They feel AEG can easily point the finger toward money as the main force behind the wrongful death suit (of course, the $40 billion they’re asking for is doing it enough, but whatever).
  • mentions of Michael’s molestation trials. They claim that Michael was never found guilty and therefore, it has no need to be brought up (actually, he was found “not guilty” once; the other charge was paid off before it ever went to trial).

A judge has yet to grant their requests.
