She’s ba-ack!
The one and only Lady Gaga is slowly, but surely getting back to performing after undergoing hip surgery back in February.
The extravagant singer took the stage in an impromptu performance Thursday night at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.
Turns out a good friend and collaborator, jazz musician Brian Newman was performing there that evening and she surprised the crowd by joining him for a rendition of “Someone To Watch Over Me”.
“Thanks to the 1&only @ladygaga for coming out to @GPHhotel tonight an singing a song!!” Newman tweeted after the show at the Rose Bar.”
The “Marry the Night” singer and the bandleader are close pals as the latter is best known as Lady Gaga’s go-to-jazz player having performed with her on the Today show, ABC’s A Very Gaga Thanksgiving as well as in the studio. The hitmaker has also been known to drop in on his shows in the past, including a 2011 appearance at the Oak Room.
No word on when she’ll head back to her full-on spectacles on-stage, but it looks like the world will be hers for the taking once more very soon.
Welcome back, Gaga!
