Even though the papers were signed and all was apparently said and done with the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, you didn’t think it was actually over, did you?

Well, if you did… actually, so did I. But I guess we were both wrong.

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Supreme Court entered a judgement that once and for all, shot the overdrawn 72-day lovefest between the two in the face.

Turns out that whole thing in April was just to make sure that the entire case wouldn’t be taken to trial, although it was then mentioned that the marriage was pretty much considered over.

The two were officially separated for nearly more than 8 times the amount the days they were actually together.

And right before she gives birth to Kanye’s baby — ain’t love grand?

One of the biggest celebrity farce marriages is officially over and done: as of last Friday morning, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are both divorcees.

Although Kris was not present once again in the court hearing, the two finally reached a settlement and the 608 day union finally came a close.

Of course, no one really actually wins in cases like these… and Kris definitely didn’t get all he hoped for: he doesn’t get a dime from the Kardashian fortune and pays his own legal bills (as does Kim) and his hope for an annulment was pretty much told to shove off.

As for him missing the previous appearance and the possibility of a penalty for doing so, Kim asked the judge for leniency and it was granted.

So overall, Kris can go back to being a basketball player and Kim can go back to… doing that thing she does.

Oh, yeah — she’s about to be a mother, right?

The way this is stretching out, take this with a grain of salt… but sources say that Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries might actually be settled out of court as soon as tomorrow.

Both of them are due to appear in court tomorrow morning (following Kris’ no show a week ago) to work it all through.

The reason for the way-too-long hang up is that he has been hoping for an annulment of the marriage, based of fraud (which some say he has no merit on). She just wants a clean divorce.

There are some other reasons people believe Kris is loosening up on his fight:

– There’s an ironclad prenup, if the case goes to trial Kris will get NO money from Kim (although as we previously reported Kris has demanded $7 mil from her — good luck with that).

– After all the depositions and legal docs flying back and forth, no evidence has surfaced showing Kim defrauded Kris — and that goes to the heart of his claim.

– Kris is about to get nailed with monetary sanctions for being a no-show at the last hearing and, in the process, he’s pissed off the judge who would be presiding over the divorce trial.

– If the case goes to trial and Kris loses, he could be in the hole for as much as a million bucks in attorney’s fees.  Sources tell us each side has already racked up $300k in lawyer’s fees, and they’ll spend another $200k if the case goes to trial.  We broke the story, if the case goes to trial and Kim wins, she’ll ask the judge to make Kris pay HER lawyer’s fees.

Seems like someone else is just as tired of how long this is taking.

As mentioned earlier, Kris Humphries didn’t make it to his mandatory settlement hearing this morning with estranged wife, Kim Kardashian — and the judge in the case, Judge Goldberg, was none too pleased with his absence.

He ordered a sanctioned hearing, which means that due to his absence, Humphries may have to pay a hefty fine.

Kim, who did show up on time, answered all questioned given, but must return with Kris back to the courthouse on the 19th for a pre-trial readiness/settlement conference.

In case you were keeping count, the two are  on day 601 of their union — maybe they’ll actually work this out before the millennium hits.

But as the divorce that never gets underway seems to prove, stalling is key… and this time around, it’s Kris didn’t show up for the meeting this morning.

The basketball player was still seen in NYC last night as late as 1 a.m. ET. The next flight out to LA from JFK Airport was at 6:!5 a.m. and was set to land three hours later on the other coast, placing him there around 9:15 a.m. — which is already 45 minutes late than the 8:30 start time.

The meeting has began and as of 12:17 p.m. ET, he’s absent.

By the time this thing gets underway, baby Kimye will be starting his own reality show.
