In case you were wondering and you weren’t, the divorce trial for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries has yet to begin; we’re still in the deposition phase.

But in an interesting nod, Kim quietly attended one this last Tuesday, where she relayed that no matter how it seemed, she really was in love with the basketball player when he proposed to her.

The meeting took place at her lawyer, Kim Wasser’s office and lasted about 9 hours. Kris was not present, but his lawyer was and claimed that not only did his client deserve to be there (he was playing a game that night), but continued the spiel that it was all done for publicity, although that claim barely has any merit now.

As for the reality show … we’re told Kim testified it played no part in her decision to tie the knot.   Other than that, we’ve learned Kris’ lawyer, Lee Hutton, did not ask much at all about the reality show and whether it was staged. Hutton has made numerous threats that he would blow the lid off the reality show during the trial, so it’s surprising he virtually ignored it in Kim’s depo.

The divorce that never seems to end is finally set to begin on May 6th.

So that whole thing with Kris Humphries attempted to call “fraud” on his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian has pretty much been shot in the foot by Kris himself.

In trying to partially lay blame to her reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, he ended up messing up his own case and it all points down to the moment the cameras caught their engagement.

According to the depo transcript — obtained by Life & Style — when Kris proposed to Kim on [the show], a producer says Kim was “completely surprised” and didn’t give a good reaction, so she asked that it be re-shot.

2 big problems for Kris:

1.  Kris is alleging Kim fraudulently induced him to marry her.  Since he proposed and she was surprised, it means it positively wasn’t a grand scheme to dupe him.

2.  Kris clearly knew she re-shot her reaction, so no matter what, he was in on everything.

So yes, believe it or not, it seems like these two were actually in some sort of “love” — which means that ended up messing up his own case and therefore, has no merit.

Looks like the dumb face really isn’t hiding much behind it.

Talk about a lie growing so far, even your representative is lying about you… allegedly, anyway.

At least that’s what both Kris Humphries‘ and Kim Kardashian’s divorce lawyers are claiming — on one side, Kim’s rep is saying that Kris and his rep are doing nothing more than hoping to prove and show her client’s hit show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is a huge lie…. unless the basketball player gets a huge payout and/or an annulment (as opposed to a full-blown divorce).

Laura Wasson (Kim’s lawyer) claims that she was blatantly told by Lee Hutton (Kris’ lawyer) that “The Kardashians or Bunim-Murray [producers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians] do not want that to happen” and hasn’t even been asking any questions in hopes of finally separating the couple, but has instead been focusing on the validity of the show’s sixth season (the only season Kris was involved with) to the show’s producers, such as:

• “Is any aspect of season 6 scripted? If so, who maintains those scripts?”
• “Are storyboards created for season 6?”
• “It’s not uncommon for a producer … to give direction to cast members during a particular scene, is it?”
• “Can you tell me who gave direction to the characters for the Bora Bora episode on what topics they should discuss? [The episode in which Kris finds out Kim had previously been married].”

And just to rub it in a bit further, Wasser says the fact that Kris says he can’t fully participate in the divorce proceedings due to his work schedule is just a ploy to keep things running on further, adding that she doesn’t believe the upcoming NBA All-Star game will “require his participation”.

Looks like her marriage may not be the only thing in Kim Kardashian’s life that is coming to an untimely end. An online petition to get Keeping Up with the Kardashians taken off the air is gaining traction, with over 120,000 signatures so far.

In a statement to Yahoo TV, petition organizer Cyndy Snider expressed the group’s concern over reality shows that are “mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption.” I guess Snider would really hate me.
