Turns out Beyoncé doesn’t want to run the world as she claimed — she’s handing that off to her daughter, Blue Ivy.

In a very sweet moment recorded for the Chime for Change campaign; which promotes itself as a “community of people working to promote Education, Health and Justice for every girl, every woman, everywhere”, Mrs. Carter shares her beliefs that her daughter can take her inner strength and one day, have it possibly lead her to the Oval Office.

“I’m telling my daughter every day, ‘You know you can be president, you know it’s possible,’ and I know she has no idea why I’m saying that,” she expresses.

The foundation, funded by Gucci, has a lot more star power behind them as well: Halle Berry, Katy Perry, Zoe Saldana, Salma Hayek and Blake Lively are some of the well-known women behind this.

Queen Bey is also headlining the Sound for Change Live concert on June 1st at London’s Twickenham Stadium for the campaign, set to feature “the music industry’s most powerful female voices”.

Either he did something really wrong during their short marriage or he’s turning out to be the stand up guy.

Whatever the reason, actor Russell Brand seems to keep showing off that he’s not as douchey as he comes across in his film roles — by proving that no matter what happens, he will not talk bad about ex-wife Katy Perry, no matter the provocation.

Sitting with shock jock Howard Stern, the conversation turned to the relationship she’s currently in with gross odd choice, John Mayer.

“It’s like, doesn’t she know that he is a worse womanizer than you?”

“Worse or better, depending on how you view it”, he joked, noting his past of being quite the man whore himself.

“You have to let go of the instinct to protect someone once you divorce them”, he admitted.

But when it came to pressing onto more sexual matters, Brand put his foot down.

“So help me, Howard Stern, I will not compromise my ex-wife’s vagina for the sake of ratings! That woman was perfect from top to bottom!”

Funny, to the point… and pure class. I like this guy.

What happened to bros before hoes?

According to reports, Katy Perry has decided to take a break in her friendship with Rihanna, due to Riri’s recent reconnection with Chris Brown.

The “California Gurls” singer is said to believe that their reconciliation is a “huge mistake” and have caused the one close twosome to split up.

The ongoing mess of whose going to fill in the third (and possible fourth) judges’ chairs over at American Idol rages on, but at least one person has expressed that she’s definitely not interested in joining the team.

Katy Perry (who guest judged on the show a couple of seasons back) was offered nearly $20 million to join Mariah Carey at the table (Randy Jackson is still up in the air) and she turned it down, saying that it wasn’t the right choice for her, especially with her very hectic schedule.

It wasn’t the money that was an issue, either… which is allegedly $2 million more than Mimi got for her signing on the dotted line.

The mess just got messier.

Talk about going out on top!

Katy Perry has managed to grab another #1 Billboard hit with “Wide Awake”, the final single from the Teenage Dream era. The song, which appears on the re-released version of the album (entitled The Complete Confection) is the top song on the Billboard Top 40 chart, which makes 9 overall for the singer.

She was already riding high when her previous single, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” hit #1 earlier this year, tying her with legendary Michael Jackson for the most number one singles from one album alone (he did so with 1989′s Bad).

In another interesting tie, she now places next to close friend Rihanna with the most number one singles in their career (although Katy did this with only two albums under her belt; Rihanna is currently on her sixth). “Wide Awake” is also number one on the Billboard Dance Charts, marking her tenth (!) time doing so.

Looks like the KatyCats (her fan base) have many reasons to celebrate today. Congrats, Katy! Check out the amazing video for “Wide Awake” above!
