New Justin Album Confirmed

rs_560x415-130505203817-560.jt.ls.5513

I still don’t see how this is a good thing.

Riding somewhat high off of the release of The 20/20 Experience, Justin Timberlake has revealed that the album’s sequel will be released on September 20th.

Mind you, the first “part” came out not even two months ago.

The Suit and Tie crooner shared a pic via his Instagram of him holding a guitar in a studio and properly announcing the news: “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30th.”

The 32-year-old also shared via his website that he would be going on a world tour to promote both albums, later this year.

The North American leg will kick off on Oct. 31 in Montreal before winding its way through 21 other cities.

That will be following the small stadium tour with single collaborator Jay-Z this Summer.

Any way you call it, Mr. JT will be in high demand in the coming months.

JT’s Reflection of Love

Who knew that seeing love through the eyes of Justin Timberlake would be so beautiful?

The crooner is wasting no time in making sure we get enough of his current album, The 20/20 Experience — especially since there’s a sequel coming soon already — and he released the second story of the album, “Mirrors” in video form.

The clip, directed by the acclaimed Floria Sigismondi opens up with a dedication to Justin’s grandparents, William and Sadie and tells the tale in reverse of a couple and everything they’ve gone through over the years. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies, but it’s definitely love at it’s realest core.

Many fans seem to be mixed on the video offering, calling the story confusing — even I had to look up what was going on after my initial viewing — but it seems as if Mr. JT sees his current marriage as something to build toward that of his grandparents’.

The final half of the video lends credence to this point when the ring falls from his grandmothers’ hand and into his own, symbolizing that he definitely has something to go for, now that his marriage is just beginning.

Of course time will tell on that story — but for now, enjoy the video for “Mirrors” after the jump.

JT Confirms Another 10 To “20/20″

GQ 2011 "Men of the Year" Party - Arrivals

I still don’t think this is such a great thing, but it seems like the rumors regarding the continuation of Justin Timberlake’s just-released The 20/20 Experience are true: there will be a second part of the album coming.

He revealed the full truth behind Monday’s story at the album release party at the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles.

“I’ve got to clear up the rumors,” the 32-year-old singer stated.”This whole thing about this only being the first part…is true. There is another half.”

“I’m not giving you a release date,” he playfully told the crowd.

Again, the album was just officially released today and there aren’t even any sale numbers available. But while many critics have said while the album is enjoyable, he does seem to be overselling it with a bit too much musically (most of the album tracks are well over 5 minutes in length; the longest song, “Mirrors”, clocking in at 8:05).

I’m guessing not everyone is sharing the same vision as Mr. J.T. We’ll see how this ends up.

Another “Experience” From Justin?

55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Some people love it when an artist immediately has a follow up to a previous work — but when it comes to someone like Justin Timberlake, this one is a bit of a head scratcher.

The 31-year-old’s new album, The 20/20 Experience doesn’t officially drop until tomorrow, but word comes by way of The Roots’ drummer, Questlove that there will be a part 2 of the album coming this November.

The announcement came by way of defense of the new album: a review of Experience in the New York Times called JT’s third album, “largely inconsequential beauty, showing Mr. Timberlake as an artist with no incentive to innovate”, among some other not-so-nice things.

“its constructive criticism,” Questlove said on a message board post over the weekend. “i will say the album is OVERLY ambitious. like a LOT of ideas crammed into one. spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now…..10 songs later= 20 vision).”

Seems like Justin is gonna show us a few (more) things before the year is out.

Kanye West Hates On Justin and Jay

"Thor" Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals

Did you seriously think impending fatherhood was going to change his ass?

Because he just can’t keep his foot out of his mouth, Kanye West just had to voice his opinion of Justin Timberlake’s newest single, “Suit & Tie”.

You know, the one with Jay-Z — who was supposed to be a close friend of Kanye’s.

In the middle of a rant (during a show in London) where he ripped big corporations, the Grammys (which was funny considering he just won three of them a couple of weeks ago) and whatever else was on his mind, he decided to point to the first track off of J.T.’s The 20 / 20 Experience.

“I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f–king with that ‘Suit & Tie”, he expressed.

So congratulations to all of the people who attended the show — you got a big bottle of Haterade with your purchase.

Check out the clip after the jump.
