The Jonas Brothers: Still Relevant and Getting Sued

KIIS FM's 2012 Jingle Ball - Night 1 - Arrivals

On one hand, the members of the Jonas Brothers should be glad someone cares enough to bring them into some kind of mention in 2013.

On the other hand, probably not because they’re getting sued for a concert that took place 3 years ago.

A woman named Ashleigh Johnson claims that she suffered “severe injury to her body and shock to her nervous system” after being crushed by a massive crowd at a free concert the boys threw in June 2010 at The Grove in L.A.

Johnson [is suing] the band and the owner of the venue for negligence, claiming that both parties knew a large number of people—including many minors—would show up, and that proper security measures were not in place at the packed outdoor shopping mall.

She is asking for unspecified damage from the JoBros and Caruso Management Co.

She’s also probably 3 years too late to get any money from them as well. Just sayin’.

The boys and their company, Jonas Brothers Enterprises (how original) have yet to respond.

The Jonas Brothers Are Back!

Just when you thought you could put your purity rings away….

Once upon a time, The Jonas Brothers were everywhere and anywhere. Posters were plastered on your baby sister’s (and sometimes, baby brother’s) walls and in their CD players with their easy, breezy pop tunes; not to mention the stories about who they were dating (or breaking up with by cell phone calls). Although they never officially broke up, it was pretty much over after the release of 2009′s Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

However, the boys have decided that after 2 solo albums, a marriage, some stints on Broadway and reality shows that it’s high time they reunite: not only are they planning to release a new album this year, they’re performing for one night only in New York City at Radio City Music Hall come October.

“Over the last three years, we’ve all had life changing experiences — both individually and as a group,” youngest brother Nick released in a statement.  “Those experiences allowed us to create new music that we are really proud of and excited to share with our fans.”

The boys are set to hit the stage on October 11th, but if you can’t get there, no worries; they will be all over your TV screens this year as well: older brother Kevin and wife Danielle will have their E! reality series, Married To Jonas (which will have the other two brothers making appearances), premiering this weekend and middle hottie brother Joe‘s show, The Next, starts next Wednesday on the CW.

Noah Cyrus and Bonus Jonas are dating!

frankie_jonas

10-year-old Noah Cyrus has the hots for 9-year-old Frankie Bonus Jonas. She’s clearly following in the footsteps of big sis Miley who dated Frankie’s brother Nick. OMG, so sick and twisted, I love it! At least he’s not a 12-year-old under-roos model.
She took to Twitter on Friday to write “me and my boyy. i love you frankie! forever and always.” And then linked back to a previously posted Twitpic of the pair. Cue the Apocalypse.

Are boy bands making a comeback?

wow-pop

Stop laughing. No seriously, stop laughing. This photo of boy band WOW is not a parody or joke — this is seriously what they chose to wear. And they are NOT gay or starring in the live-action Rainbow Brite flick. Now that we have that out of the way, and can accept the fact that hipster fashion has truly wronged society, and like to know if you think we need more boy bands on the air? Jo Bros are making coins, NKOTB had a successful reunion tour, and I think the Backstreet Boys were recently able to put down a pack of natty light and stay sober long enough to record again.

But can WOW make it? I had never heard of this group until someone sent this my way today. But apparently the kids are over their shit. They just released a new music video for their single Unforgiven on their MySpace page and said:

“The great thing about this video is that because we are not even signed to a major record label, we obviously couldn’t be shooting a $100,000 video like some other groups, so we decided to spend a couple hundred dollars, call some friends and shoot one ourselves. Honestly, we were suprised how good it turned out.”
