A South African drug baron stunned authorities when a strap-on dildo fell off him during a police raid, revealing his true gender.
According to reports, 37-year-old Fadwaan “Fat” Murphy–a feared head of an illegal drug operation in Cape Town–was arrested on charges of stolen property and corruption after residents filed complaints that led to the investigation. During a court hearing, Fat Murphy, whose birth name is Hilary, was forced to reveal the true nature of his gender when conflicting identity documents were presented to the court.
“I had a vagina that could not be penetrated. But I also had male organs, testes. But I always knew I was really a man and that was what I wanted to be,” he told the court.
“God created me with both sexual organs. It was God’s decision, not mine.”
Murphy told the court that he had corrective surgery to remove his female parts. That’s when hospital officials provided him with documents declaring him a male.
“I would not describe myself as having a sex change – I only had the female parts removed. “My kids, a girl of four and a boy of one, come from my testes. I never developed breasts. I look like a man, I talk like a man. I am a man,” he told the Sunday Times. Below, he’s pictured with his second wife.
Investigators dispute that claim and found no evidence of surgery. He now faces fraud charges and was released on bail. He’s due back in court in March.
