Nightlife scribes and Manhattan tastemakers aren’t too pleased with MTV’s Jersey Shore troupe invading their precious $20-a-drink haunts. The tan trinity of MTV, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and DJ Pauly have been granted entrance to spots–through their celebrity–that were once off limits to the people Manhattanites affectionately refer to as “B&Ts” (that’s bridge-and-tunnel people,).

And over the weekend, they were spotted at the usually tough to breach 1Oak, indulging in B&T antics: “dj pauly d and mike the situation were @ 1Oak having a blast. Mike the situation kept on taking bottles of champagne and pouring popping it and spraying it on everyone in the crowd and all over the girls I introduced him to,” rings a seemingly won-over endorsement from As Good As Its Guests.

But not everybody else felt the same way.

“Spraying champagne over models and fist pumping is to be expected from a cast member of The Jersey Shore, but WHO let him into Oak?,” cries nightlife blog ChiChi212. “New Yorkers spend all this time running/bad mouthing Jersey folks and all they had to do was get a reality show to be welcomed with open arms? Heartbreaking. Really it is.”

Also, on blog Guest of a Guest a commenter added to the mix “ughh they were at 1OAK saturday night i wanted to vomit who the fuck lets in guidos.”

So while the blogs and Twitterati cry foul on the Jersey kids who have invaded their “we‘ve reached maximum capacity/we‘re only open for a private party/someone stole my coat” space, other clubgoers–who actually chatted up the trio–have nothing but kind words to say about them.

On their voyage to Marquee nightclub yesterday, a source revealed to Page Six that the Jersey boys are “surprisingly nice,” and whenever anybody asked Mike “The Situation” to show his abs “he’d always oblige.”

But things took a detour later on.

When Snooki Tweeted that she was “at marquee…wack. lmao goin to anotha club w my boys,” the interwebs quickly turned tan red with comments like: “Marquee was not good enough for the Jersey Shore kids? Who ARE these people?” Another person added, “Hate this bullhiy get them away meow! Who is letting this trash in our clubs?!”

And maybe the response to Snooki’s displeasure with Marquee was justified. Page Six reports she “apparently had an issue with the women’s bathroom attendant because she used the hairspray and perfume and tipped the attendant 75 cents. She got offended when the attendant respectfully declined the tip,” our source says. “She’s a total diva, but the other guys were very nice and had quite a few attractive girls following them around.”

So what do you think, kiddies? Would the Jersey Shore stars showing up to your club be a down grade to your night? You may argue that ANY reality star at a club is a downgrade, but it seems that because these “stars” are associated with Jersey, the violation of NY nightlife apartheid has most people bleeding through their panties.
