A mass wedding ceremony in Peru was interrupted last Wednesday after a man was attacked by two women who claim he cannot get married to another woman because he’s already married to their sister.

According to reports, the two women, who were described as burly, beat the victim as he was seated next to his bride-to-be, and was pushed into the hallway where they continued the attack and later moved to the parking lot where his wife, aunts and mother joined the assault.

Police arrested all of the participants in the attack, and the victim did not complete the ceremony.
