An Australian female netball team dubbed the Master Baiters was forced to changed its name because, ummm, organizers thought the team’s name might have a “double meaning.”
The girls will compete in the Sydney World Masters Games under the new name Master Netters.
I hope this doesn’t happen to The Shockers:
Netball is a team game that resembles basketball; a soccer ball is to be thrown so that it passes through a ring on the top of a post.
Umm this was actually a New Zealand Netball team from the West Coast of New Zealand… they were not Australian.
