A furious Texas woman was so upset with her common-law husband, that she fried his pet goldfish–and ate them–after a quarrel.

According to reports, the couple had an argument about jewelery the woman gave the man, and wanted returned. Later on, she went into his apartment and took the goldfish the couple bought as pets.

When the man reported his missing pets, police officers responded to the woman’s home, only to find four fried goldfish on a plate–and the woman said she ate the other three.

Police say no charges will be filed because the incident is a civil matter.
