Brooke Burke had the right idea when she confessed in an interview:

“I love to see a man’s bare foot, but its got to be taken care of. If they’re not well manicured, you’ve got to wonder what the rest of him is like. I don’t want to get in bed with somebody and feel his gnarly feet.”

Cristiano Ronaldo, are you listening?

If the masters of the interwebs have their way, you too will lust for the bronze and beautiful soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo. He has outdone Matthew McConaughey as the omnipresent beach-and-poolside blog eye candy of the summer, and throughout it all, he has managed to stay so impeccably tweezed, hairless and brown.

You could say he’s definitely the kind of man that likes to take care of himself from head to ummm… ankle, right? As a metrosexual footballer, it must be difficult for him to reconcile his vanity when his job often leaves him with callused, coarse and unsightly feet. One has to wonder if he has ever scheduled a pedicure in between his full-body waxes and Gucci shopping sprees.

Judging by photos from his sunbathing in the past few weeks, which show cracked, blackened and misshaped toenails, it appears as though Ronaldo has developed Athlete’s Foot — a fungal condition that can affect the areas in between the toes and spread to the toenail itself–leaving it thick, distorted and discolored. It’s common to catch Athlete’s foot from moist environments; especially locker rooms. Over-the-counter antifungal drugs can usually cure this up. Unfortunately for his painful-looking bunions and corns, a trip to the podiatrist might be in order.

So the question beckons: Does a man need to be perfect from head to toe? Is Cristiano Ronaldo now a notch lower on your totem pole of celebrity hotties for having unattractive piggies?
