Two opposing family members in New Zealand engaged in a street brawl armed with a hammer, axe, golf club and pool cue.
According to police reports, the rumble began yesterday when four family members of a burglary victim confronted the alleged burglar on a street.
The man was armed with a hammer and threatened the group when they approached him.
His two friends–a man and woman–emerged from a car armed with an axe and golf club, respectively.
After they upped the ante, one of the family members rushed inside of a bar and grabbed a pool stick.
The opposing groups then battled on the street, and the man armed with the axe injured himself and was rushed to the hospital after the handle of the axe struck his shoulder, possibly breaking it.
Police arrived on scene and arrested one man involved in the incident and said that charges were likely to be filed against all parties.
