NY Post chats up American Idol alum Ace Young on Broadway and nudity. The 29-year-old made his debut in the second company of Hair last week, and stars alongside fellow Idol gal Diana DeGarmo–who also has a brief nudie scene in the show. BTW, how lucky is that bastard Jarett? If Ace Young hopped on my lap, I would’ve peepee’d my pants.

Every casting agent in Hollywood has already seen that ass; the casting couch is Ace’s only ticket to stardom, his voice ain’t taking him anywhere (he lost on Star Search…or whatever that show was with ditsy Paula Abdul.)

Actually, I just saw him in Hair last night. He’s really an incredible singer and performer, I think he was one of the best Berger’s I’ve seen yet! It’s sad how people really assume the worst in people without even giving them a chance. (coughdonnacough)
Hair – nude theatre??!! puh-leez The lights dim at the end of the first act and the cast strips. Shocking in the 1960s on Broadway (tho’ not the first time, see Oh Calcutta!) but it was a statement. It fit the times and made sense in this musical. The revival is true to the original. Ace does a passable job as Berger. Hair is a wonderful musical and this is a very fun production. But all you silly *ss critics will pass judgment without ever seeing it.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) did “nude theatre” starring in the classic Equus. He certainly wasn’t prolonging “15 minutes of fame”
