Australian TV viewers are crying foul after comedian Fiona O’ Loughlin called Bindi Irwin ‘creepy’ and poked fun of the 11-year-old wildlife conservationist’s seemingly drug-induced enthusiasm on TV, Wednesday.
Phone lines and message boards were flooded with complaints on her round table bit, describing Steve Irwin’s daughter “a freak show” on Australian quiz program Spicks and Specks.
I don’t see the big deal! It was actually quite funny and VERY accurate. BTW, Here’s a sample of Bindi being Bindi:
And she is state-side right now promoting her new flick, Free Willy 4: Escape from Pirate Cove, co-starring Beau Bridges, in theaters March 23. They mostly used CGI whales in this one–and you can tell by the trailer the budget was pretty low even for those graphics! Watch the trailer after the jump!
Here’s the plot summary:
Kirra Cooper (Bindi Irwin) goes to South Africa to live with her grandfather for the summer at his run down amusement park. When an orca winds up stuck in a lagoon just outside the park, Kirra attempts to find his pod so Willy can be freed.
