It’s a rare moment to see mogul Simon Cowell show his sweet side, but the 53-year-old X-Factor judge / creator seems to have had a moment where his heart grew three sizes — of course, it was on his Twitter, so his rep wasn’t too damaged.
The messages started off normally, with him sharing that things were work heavy in LA (more than likely where the new season of The X-Factor is being worked out) and apologizing for not sending out enough Tweets — but then, the words turned sentimental, with the Brit sharing his heart on what he was truly grateful for.
And no, it wasn’t white t-shirts and rude comments.
“… with everything I have been working on it made me realise that your friends and family are still the most important things in your life,” he wrote. “Sorry to cram all this in. Have read some strange things about me recently. I am happy. Healthy. And enjoying life. Hope you are too.”
Well, that was oddly sweet and all, but he still wasn’t done just yet.
“What I have realised is there will be bumps in your life but the fun is fixing them. If it was always easy life would be boring,” he continued. “I was a little deep tonight but it was one of those nights you realise you have a lot to be thankful for.”
No word on if something was going on (if I’m wrong, hit up the comments) or whether he was just having a rare moment of sentimentality, but the man continues to be a machine in the entertainment field. His new show, The You Generation (which helps YouTube stars find fame) premieres today on the site.
