“Go, Ricki! Go, Ricki!”

No, seriously — go, Ricki.

After only one season (that is still not even completed airing yet), the studio behind Ricki Lake’s new talk show announced that there will not be a season two.

However, original episodes will continue to air through September of this year.

“While we are proud of the topics the program tackled including childhood obesity, life-after the military, divorce, and addiction we were simply not able to breakthrough the crowded talk show marketplace,” said Stephen Brown, exec VP of programming & development for Twentieth Television, in a statement. Twentieth produced Lake’s syndicated talk show.

People are saying that many never were able to get behind the new format of the show against the original “outrageous” topics she tackled back on her talk show in the 90s – early 2000′s.

Ricki, we hardly (re) knew ye.
