Some men, mostly straight ones are quite committed to what goes on during a sports game… but there are those who seriously need to chill out.
Nick Lachey is allegedly one of those people.
It was reported yesterday that the former 98 Degrees frontman was at a Cincinnati Bengals game when he heckled the opposing team’s fans a bit too much and was consequently thrown out of the audience. But there’s a possibility that more than words were tossed out in the madness.
Multiple people at the event say Lachey flipped out and started throwing punches and called a woman a “f*cking b*tch” in the ruckus, which is the reason he was led out.
More after the jump.
TMZ says that Nick went after a guy wearing the opposing team’s jersey, allegedly throwing barbs at him all throughout the second half of the match. Things went a bit too over the line with a comment that was made regarding the player on the sports’ shirt and the guy’s wife pretty much said the best thing ever:
“Well, he lasted longer than your boy band.”
Although you’re probably laughing at that comeback (and it was pretty good), Nick wasn’t too pleased by his musical shortcomings.
We’re told Lachey flipped out and called the wife a “f**king b*tch” … along with “a host of other profanities.”
Tensions exploded … and the Chargers fan says Nick lunged towards him … grabbed him by the throat and shoved him to the ground.
And did we mention it was all caught on video as well?
After being tossed out, Nick went on his Twitter and kept adding fuel to the fire, expressing that he was pleased his idiocy got him thrown out of the game.
The opposing fan plans to press charges, while Nick probably wishes he would’ve stayed home and took care of his infant son.
