Well, this is upsetting.
One of my first ever serious crushes, Rider Strong has broken the hearts of many 90′s fans by admitting via a statement that he hasn’t been asked to take part of the Boy Meets World reboot, tentatively titled Girl Meets World.
“At this point, I have no official involvement”, he says.
But to all of those (like myself) who loved bad boy Shawn Hunter, don’t fret just yet: the now 32-year-old (damn, don’t that make you feel old?!) definitely wouldn’t mind being a part of the new cast alongside current “repeaters” Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, whether a permanent role or just a nice guest role — and he hopes there will be other reappearances of the past members of the TGIF hit.
“There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it’s own show.”
Either way, he says he “can’t wait to see it evolve.”
Neither can we!

I think it would be great to see Rider and all of the others back on this new show! Maybe not for the entire season, but some guest appearances would be awesome! There’s a long way to go for a premiere date from what one of the girls I work with at DISH said too, so really anything could happen! Either way I’ll be tuning in to see what the show has to offer. I just upgraded to a DISH Hopper DVR too, so thankfully with the 2 terabyte hard drive I have to work with I won’t have to worry about this series recording in addition to all of my other favorite shows in the future. I can’t wait!
