You’ve ever given one of those apologies where you’re not that sorry because your actions are justified (at least to you)?
Well, Angus T. Jones released a mea culpa which reads a little less than a call for forgiveness and more like he’s still holding this thoughts back regarding his now massively viral video, in which he expressed his newfound religious beliefs vs. his work on Two and A Half Men.
“Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men”, he shared via a statement on Tuesday. ” I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.”
“I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”
My guess: someone told him to hold back on the filth and remain filthy rich a little while longer.
I suppose the basis of his full apology doesn’t really matter: the people behind the series must’ve believed it as Angus has already stated he’s made the decision not to leave the show (until at least the end of season 10) and his co-workers have forgiven him.
Sorry, Charlie.
