There have been many songs by pop legend Michael Jackson that have never been released, but little-by-little following his death, they are making their way to the ears of many of his fans… but there are probably some that should’ve never been taken out of the vault.
One of the songs in question, “Song Groove” (a.k.a. “Abortion Papers”) has been released as part of Bad 25, a re-release in celebration of Michael’s 1987 album, Bad. The upbeat track, which is admittedly “groovy” tackles the very heavy subject on a woman’s choice to end the life of her unborn. And in the lyrics, Michael is definitely against it.
“Think about life”, he nearly screams. “I’d like to have my child!”
Michael was a devout Jehovah’s Witness while he was alive and it’s apparent that the woman mentioned in the song isn’t (“Don’t know the worst/she is an atheist” is another of the more interesting lines in the track), but it’s hard to swallow this when Michael seemed to promote so much love in his world.
Well, at least for those who kept their babies, it seems.
Check out the odd track above.
