1D In 3D

Guess whose headed to the big screen!

During a mini-promotional concert on the Today Show for their new album Take Me Home (which is out today!), Brit-pop sensation One Direction had a huge announcement for the nearly 15,000 strong crowd at Rockerfeller Center.

They’re making a movie!

“We are going to do our first-ever movie, and it’s going to be in 3-D,” Niall Horan (the blonde one)  said to the crowd. It’s coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013.”

Now, this can go one of three ways: it can be a cult classic, it could be a concert/documentary movie (which is the easy way out, but can go either way) or it could be a complete disaster.

I have a feeling the Directioners won’t let it be the last one.

R.I.P. A.B.D.C.

The final banner has fallen on the stage and everyone is eliminated.

MTV has brought the ax down on America’s Best Dance Crew, ending the show after seven seasons due to less than stellar ratings.

The competitive dance series was created by American Idol‘s Randy Jackson.

“We are grateful to Randy Jackson and Warner Horizon for having brought our audience seven amazing seasons of dance with ABDC, and look forward to more successful and dynamic entertaining collaborations in the future”, MTV released in a statement.

Another series, based around music is gone from MTV. Are we surprised?

Dirty South Miley?

We get that change is inevitable, but this might be just a bit too much.

Former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus has been doing all she can to get away from her most known image as Hannah Montana and she’s bringing that change to her music as well.

For her upcoming fourth album, the singer says she’ll be bringing in elements of “dirty South hip-hop” to her songs.

“People don’t think [hip-hop and country] make a good hybrid, but actually, so many hip-hop artists are really inspired by country musicians – especially a lot of the artists I’ve been working with in Atlanta,” she said during an interview.

She says she’s been working with producers and musicians such as Pharrell, Tyler the Creator and Mac Miller to help mix her “two favorite styles of music.”

Now, I’m not gonna start the LOLs immediately. This style has worked before, such as that time with Nelly and Tim McGraw. But this… yeah, I lied. I’m laughing.

Rihanna Is Naked Again; Today Is Tuesday

At this point, does the girl even take a picture if she has more than a shirt on?

Rihanna continues her Unapologetic nature and strips down for the cover of GQ Magazine next month.

The 24-year-old singer is being touted as GQ’s “obsession of the year” and tells the mag that all of her constant work (did I mention Unapologetic is her seventh album in seven years?!) is due to her vision of how she sees herself.

“Sometimes a person looks at me and sees dollars. They see numbers and they see a product. I look at me and see art. If I didn’t like what I was doing, then I would say I was committing slavery.”

With people seeing her as a sex symbol, Riri admits that her own personal kink pretty much has no limits.

“Love makes you go places you probably wouldn’t ever go, had it not been for love. But I think everybody still has their limits.”

Apparently, those limits don’t involve covering up.

Elmo Tickles Back — Allegedly

This would be the time to send the kids to another room, people.

Kevin Clash, who is the man behind Sesame Street fave, Elmo is currently taking a leave of absence from the children’s series to defend himself against a man who says Clash had a sexual relationship with him at the age of 16.

The man made the allegations in June (when he was 23) and spoke to Sesame Workshop, the company behind Sesame Street.

“We took the allegation very seriously and took immediate action,” the company said in a statement released Monday. “We met with the accuser twice and had repeated communications with him. We met with Kevin, who denied the accusation.”

Kevin spoke out as well, saying that while he did have a sexual relationship with the man in question, “It was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not.”

Clash was granted the leave of absence by the company while he defends his name, but the little red monster will still be seen on the show, which is currently in it’s 43rd season.

“Elmo will still be a part of the shows being produced,” says an insider.
