The boys of One Direction are currently on a media blitz to prepare for the release of their hotly anticipated album, Take Me Home and the start of their world tour.

In a sense of going full circle, they made a stop on the US version of X-Factor, where previous mentor Simon Cowell got to see one of his greatest creations performed their current single, “Little Things”.

“Performing in front of Simon again was a bit strange,” said Niall Horan during an after-show interview (he’s the blonde one), “because we hadn’t performed in front of Simon since the final of The X Factor the year we were on.” (The boys originally were put together by Cowell during the late 2010 season.)

Although it was pretty much all but confirmed, a coroner found that former Real World: Hollywood member Joey Kovar died from an overdose of opiates.

The representative of the Cook County Medical Examiner also said that the reality star’s death in August was an accident. A source close to Joey said that he had been taking a prescription painkiller called Norco, although it is unsure if it contributed to his death (Norco is an opiate).

Joey had been plagued with drug trouble for years. He was only 29 at the time of his death and left behind a young son and daughter.

Well, learning French is hard so — upside?

Although she had hoped the words of a celebrity friend may sway a judge in her favor, Halle Berry will just have to deal with meddling paparazzi when it comes to her daughter, Nahla — she was denied her request to move the young girl to France with fiance, Olivier Martinez.

Halle’s reasoning was that the Los Angeles paps were a bit too invasive and she feared for her young daughter’s safety (going as far as to bring friend Salma Hayek to speak on the safety measures in another country), but the judge sided with Nahla’s father, Gabriel Aubry and told Halle that the child must remain in America.

According to the actress, she never wanted to remove Aubry from his daughter’s life.

The end of an era is upon us.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are no more, according to People Magazine. The two first made their coupling public in February 2011.

“She broke up with him about a week ago,” a source told the magazine. “With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It’s not easy, but the relationship needed to end.”

I’m guessing sitting by the fire and eating fondue couldn’t save them.

But Justin should be fine — he’s apparently trying to hook up (and has been seen around) with a Victoria’s Secret model named Barbara Palvin.
