It’s time to lay the smackdown on the ones who (allegedly) did her wrong.

The lawyers of Britney Spears are reading to knock down her former manager Sam Lufti in court, saying that he was anything but helpful to her career and instead, kept her on a drug regimen to keep control over the pop star.

Sources close to the case say that Lufti is attempting to sue her (for defamation of character) to keep eyes off of him from keeping her high enough to sign a contract and made sure he was able to handle her career.

Their thoughts: if B-Girl was that drug addled, how could she have signed anything in her right mind and be contractually obligated to make sure any requirements were met?

Lufti says that Britney was really in a bad place when they met and attempted to clean her up. Britney’s mom, Lynne says Sam perpetuated the drug use (which included crystal meth) and did all he could to keep her away from loved ones.

No word on if Britney herself will be testifying although she has not been part of any proceedings as of now.
