Finally some good news for her!
GMA anchor Robin Roberts is resting at home today following being released from the hospital after a bone marrow transplant. She needed to undergo the operation to help battle myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), which she acquired after battling breast cancer a year ago.
“There’s no place like home,” she tweeted this morning. “After 30 days in the hospital I’m home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Thank YOU and bless YOU. XO”
She also posted her thoughts in longer form on a blog entry for ABC News, thanking her sister (who gave her the bone marrow), the doctors and workers at the hospital she was in for a month and finally, her loving fans.
“I know it is your prayers and warm thoughts that have gotten me this far. I truly feel them each and every day. I humbly ask that you please continue to send them until you see me back at the GMA anchor desk and I promise to send them right back at ya.”
She’s a trooper. Stay strong and get well soon, Robin!
