Celebrities seriously need better people to look after their money.

One who knows that pretty well today is Lauryn Hill, who is not only dealing with possible jail time over a small blip in federal government taxes — a $1.8 million blip — but now, her home state of New Jersey is coming after her for $446,386, saying that she failed to pay taxes to them as well.

On June 14th, a civil judgment was placed against Hill for the owed funds; this was a week after the charges she’s dealing with now.

However, the state tax hasn’t become a criminal matter as of yet.

She’s scheduled for sentencing for the federal charges in November.

Somebody better get back to work… fast!
