Nicki Minaj Has To Shut Up For A While

I suppose with all of those alter egos (Roman, Nicki Teresa, Onika, etc.), the one body had to shut them all down.

Nicki Minaj has canceled her upcoming performances at the V Festival in London due to “strained vocal chords”. Her publicist released the statement, which notes that Nicki’s vocal chords were already bruised on the 14th of August following a performance in NYC and a doctor told her to rest up for a while.

Oddly enough, she may also just be warming up for the biggest position of her life: reports have surfaced that the Starships singer is up for the third chair on the new season of American Idol — which makes it a three-way race between Nick Jonas, Diddy and now her.

As a hint to her possible upcoming position, Nicki tweeted that she had to push back her fall tour to promote her latest album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, but the reason for it would make her fans “very happy”.

So, does this mean Charlie Sheen isn’t going to do it? Because I really wanted that to happen.
