“Real World: Hollywood” Star Dies
Joey Kovar, one of the seven The Real World: Hollywood roommates was found dead near Chicago this morning. He was only 29 years old.
The end of Joey’s life seems to have been predicted due to his troubles: during his time on The Real World, Joey ended up going to rehab for drugs and alcohol use, admitting that he had trouble with them for years. He also appeared on the VH1 reality series, Celebrity Rehab because of his substance abuse issues.
Joey was found by a friend with blood coming from his ears and nose while at a friend’s residence.
This sadly marks two deaths for each show: actor Jeff Conaway, who participated in Celebrity Rehab, died in 2011 at the age of 60 and Real World: San Diego castmate Frankie Abernathy died in 2007 at the age of 25 due to complications with cystic fibrosis.
May he find the peace that alluded him in this life.
