Justin Fights For “Love”

They say that falling in love is easy, but keeping that love going is a battle. No one understands that better than Justin Bieber… at least in the video for his latest single, “As Long As You Love Me”.

Directed by Anthony Mandler, the video/short film (the second from his album, Believe) shows Justin attempting to save the relationship he’s in from the ever angry grasp of the girl’s father, played by Michael Madsen (best known for his role in the film Reservoir Dogs). It definitely plays on Justin’s burgeoning maturity.

Check it out above.

LiLo Blames The Other Guy

So, she’s taking the ever popular “Kindergarten Defense”: something goes wrong, you point a finger.

Of course, when it comes to Queen of the Hot Mess, Lindsay Lohan, you really can’t be too surprised.

Here’s the situation: in January, a pap named Grigor Baylan sued Lindsay, claiming that as he was taking pics of her coming out of a Hollywood nightclub, her assistant slammed into him under Lindsay’s tutelage, causing him injuries.

But she’s coming out swinging, according to TMZ: she filed her response to the charges in L.A. County Superior Court this week, claiming that the photog caused his own injuries by “carelessly put[ting] himself near a moving automobile” and that she shouldn’t have to pay for anything.

A judge has yet to rule on the matter.

Until then, watch out, people! She’s still driving!

“American Idol”: Steven Tyler’s True View

A month following his departure from American Idol, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has done an about face regarding his time on the show. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Steven admitted that he really didn’t want to be sitting in that chair in the first place.

“It was something to do while the storm blew by, to be honest”, he said during the interview, also saying that it wasn’t really his “cup of tea”. His reason for doing it: to get away from the bickering of his Aerosmith band mates.

Just a month ago, Tyler seemed to give loads of praise to everything about Idol, saying he “loved everything about it”, but now claims that he also really didn’t like criticizing the young contestants.

“The show’s about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the piss out of the kids and I don’t have that in me. That’s not what I’m about.”

I guess after banking $20 million (he allegedly was bringing in about $10 million a year from Idol), you can really let loose on your thoughts without giving a crap. But something tells me he won’t be missed on the show after this one.

Macaulay Culkin Isn’t On Drugs

Following images of a very gaunt looking Macaulay Culkin on the streets of NYC this year (if you’re wondering, he DJs now… with his iPod), many wondered if the former child star had fallen into the similar traps of his predecessors with drug usage.

The National Enquirer ended up running that story (his choice of drug was apparently heroin) and now, his rep tells TMZ that the reports are “not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious.”

He also spoke to other media outlets, telling them not to “consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further.”

But that DJ-ing with an iPod thing… OK, OK. He’s not getting high. Sure.

“The Dark Knight Rises” Massacre: Another Arrest In Florida Theater

Not even two weeks following the arrest of James Holmes in The Dark Knight Rises shootings in Aurora, Colorado; another man was arrested in South Florida for causing a disturbance during a screening there.

Early Tuesday, David Escamillo shouted out phrases such as “This is it!” during the movie, causing nearly 100 people to flee from the theater. Witnesses also say they saw him leave and re-enter the cinema, coming back in wearing a pair of black gloves.

Movie goers captured the man and held him until Miami Beach police arrived to arrest him. He was charged with disorderly conduct. No weapons were found on him and a search turned up an old battery charge against him.

As he was arrested, he apparently said, “I didn’t shoot anyone”, in reference to the Colorado tragedy.
