Another Week, Another Reality TV Show Judge Quits

Well, this was surprising… but at least it wasn’t American Idol related.

America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne has quit the hit television series, according to TMZ.

She’s been with the show since season 2 and NBC is said to be be surprised by her exit, as she hasn’t formally told them of her departure. However, she did leave the most interesting Tweet to fellow judge, Howard Stern:

“My darling @howardstern, money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt, it’s because …”

No one knows of the actual “because” but there have been some interesting developments in Sharon’s life this year that could shed some light on her leaving: the show switched from LA to NYC to accommodate Stern joining the series and Sharon’s son, Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis earlier this year.

The Jackson Family: Fighting And Walking Away

Well, that sounds helpful.

TMZ has found out the details regarding the huge brawl that broke out at the Jackson compound earlier today that eventually led to Michael Jackson’s children seeking shelter (and guardianship) elsewhere. And I was definitely proven wrong: Janet definitely was as messy as the rest of them.

According to their sources, there was two groups of people in the SUVs that entered the Calabasas estate: the first had Michael’s kids (Paris, Prince and Blanket)  in it, the second had Janet, Jermaine and Randy; who followed the children and did not have authorization to enter the house.

Once inside, the three older siblings tried to literally grab hold of the three younger siblings in order to send them to Arizona along with grandmother Katherine. Let’s just say that was the wrong way to go. More after the jump.

Batman Visits Colorado Shooting Victims

This was pretty classy and thoughtful.

Christian Bale, star of The Dark Knight Rises paid an unannounced visit to the victims and families of the Aurora, CO movie theater tragedy today.

TMZ (by way of KDVR – a Colorado news station) says the star came through about 2 p.m today and arrived by ambulance as not to bring attention to him – even Warner Bros., the company behind the flick, had no idea.

The movie was in the midst of playing when alleged shooter James Holmes opened fire among the movie goers, killing 12 and injuring dozens.

Sherman Hemsley, Star of “The Jeffersons”, Dies

It’s so sad to report this.

Actor Sherman Hemsley, who rose to prominence as loud mouth George Jefferson on the hit series, The Jeffersons passed away today. He was 74-years-old.

Originally a spin-off of All In The Family, The Jeffersons became a massive hit and ran for 11 seasons. The series followed the lives of George Jefferson and his wife, Louise; George owned a chain of dry cleaning stores with his rude, but lovable nature.

Hemsley also starred in the 80′s NBC series Amen.

He was unmarried and had no children. He was found in his El Paso home by his maid, who initially believed he was sleeping.

Here’s hoping he truly did get to that deluxe apartment in the sky. He will be missed.

Jordin Sparks Remembers Whitney Houston

With the promotion for Sparkle (the remake of the 1970′s classic) underway, many thoughts ultimately turn to the sad fact that it is R&B icon’s Whitney Houston‘s final film, as well as the soundtrack, which features her last known recordings.

EW spoke to the film’s star, Jordin Sparks (who is playing Irene Cara’s role from the original) and the legacy of Whitney was definitely on her mind.

“It is hard because it is bittersweet,” Sparks says. “I worked with my idol and that was a dream come true. I used to watch the Cinderella adaptation with her and Brandy every day after school. But she should really be here promoting it with me and [it's] really hard for me to be doing it alone.”

More after the jump.
