I’m guessing there are many people on “Team Breezy”.
Following the now infamous “bottle brawl“, Chris Brown‘s latest effort, “Fortune”; the follow up to “F.A.M.E.” (get it?) debuted at the top of the Billboard charts, selling 134,000 copies in it’s first week. Although it’s a good number, it pales in comparison to “F.A.M.E.” (which apparently stood for “Fans Are My Everything”… or “Forgiving All My Enemies”), which shipped out nearly double of that of “Fortune” in it’s first week.
Other interesting Billboard tidbits: due to a 99 cent Amazon deal, Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” re-entered the top 10 at the number 2 position (no worries; it’s a different ballgame from the rule that changed on Billboard, thanks to Lady GaGa) and momma-to-be Adele’s “21″ slipped to #9, which is still pretty amazing considering the album hasn’t left the top 10 since it’s release last year.
Even more amazing: it’s been in the top 10 for 72 weeks, tying with Alanis Morissette’s classic “Jagged Little Pill” for the longest album run in the top 10 by a female artist.
