Justin Bieber Sued Over His Music

The Biebs is clearly not having the best year: there’s bad driving with paparazzi, possibly losing his girlfriend, smacking into glass doors, and now, the manic nature of “Bieber Fever” has him with a hefty lawsuit on his hands.

A Oregon woman named Stacey Wilson Betts is suing Justin, his record label, a concert arena and a promoter for over $9 million, saying that the screams and overall loudness at a Justin concert in 2010 caused permanent hearing damage.

TMZ has the deets:

Betts claims it was incredibly loud inside the arena thanks to Justin’s shrieking fans … but Bieber made it MUCH MUCH WORSE when he climbed into a “heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola” which was pulled out into the crowd.

Judge Leaves “Idol” — And It’s Not Who You Think

Well, this is kind of a shocker.

Following the rumors and talk that J. Lo would be the one putting away her “American Idol” judge chair, Aerosmith leader Steven Tyler released a statement today saying that he would not be returning for “AI”‘s upcoming 13th season.

“After some long … hard … thoughts … I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit. I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”

Aerosmith is currently gearing up for their upcoming album, “Music from Another Dimension” this coming November.

“It’s been a tremendous honor to have Steven – one of the most prolific artists in the world – on American Idol for the past two seasons,”said Mike Darnell, president of alternative programming at Fox, in a statement.

I guess Charlie just got himself an offer.

Chris Brown vs. Drake: Chris’ Good “Fortune”

I’m guessing there are many people on “Team Breezy”.

Following the now infamous “bottle brawl“, Chris Brown‘s latest effort, “Fortune”; the follow up to “F.A.M.E.” (get it?) debuted at the top of the Billboard charts, selling 134,000 copies in it’s first week. Although it’s a good number, it pales in comparison to “F.A.M.E.” (which apparently stood for “Fans Are My Everything”… or “Forgiving All My Enemies”), which shipped out nearly double of that of “Fortune” in it’s first week.

Other interesting Billboard tidbits: due to a 99 cent Amazon deal, Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” re-entered the top 10 at the number 2 position (no worries; it’s a different ballgame from the rule that changed on Billboard, thanks to Lady GaGa) and momma-to-be Adele’s “21″ slipped to #9, which is still pretty amazing considering the album hasn’t left the top 10 since it’s release last year.

Even more amazing: it’s been in the top 10 for 72 weeks, tying with Alanis Morissette’s classic “Jagged Little Pill” for the longest album run in the top 10 by a female artist.

Usher Looking To Settle With Ex-Wife

This really is a grand gesture.

Following the ski accident that left his ex-stepson brain dead, Usher decided to ease off his fighting regarding his divorce from estranged wife, Tameka Foster and push forth a settlement.

TMZ found out that while Usher was by Tameka’s side, he talked to her about settling, but at first didn’t go too much further in what he would give her – 50/50 custody with their two sons, Usher V and Naviyd, and a small increase in child support, which she refused.

Jennifer Lopez Probably Leaving “Idol”; Probably Just Wants More Money

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmgQWpRAIN8

Following the rumors that Jennifer Lopez may not be returning for season 12 of “American Idol” (possibly being replaced by Charlie Sheen), the singer/actress all but confirmed it this morning on the “Today” show.

While promoting her role in the upcoming “Ice Age: Continental Drift” (out this Friday), the talk quickly turned to her role at the judge’s table.

“I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do”, she said.

It’s interesting of her unsteady nature regarding her return considering many believe that her turn to “Idol” was the reason for the good sales with her last album, “Love?” (it sold approximately 318,000 copies in the U.S. and over a million worldwide).

Jen, you live in a post-”Gigli” world. You might want to reconsider your options here.
