Charlie Sheen: New “American Idol” Judge?

American Idol” hasn’t brought in the greatest numbers as of late and as the shows pulls into season 12, there are multiple changes afoot.

With talk of all three current judges; Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson heading for the hills after season 12 (and with the possibility that Jennifer may not be there for it at all), Nigel Lythgoe; the producer of “Idol” is throwing out his net for some interesting people as judges, including season 7 runner-up Adam Lambert.

But the most WTF name of all? Charlie Sheen.

Seriously. Charlie Sheen.

More of the head scratching nature after the jump.

Florence Welch Cancels Shows Due To Lack of Voice

The lead singer of Florence + The Machine, Florence Welch, has been regarded as a powerful talent over the past couple of years. But that power is not omnipotent as she unfortunately found out when she was forced to cancel shows on their London tour due to losing her voice and possibly risking permanent damage.

“I cannot sing for a week… seriously I felt something snap, it was very frightening’; she explained on her Twitter, also issuing apologies for those who had tickets to their upcoming shows on Thursday (Spain) and Saturday (Portugal).

“Actually feeling a bit teary looking at all your messages”, she also expressed. “Thank you.. I’m gonna get mended real quick and come sing all your houses down.”

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for the amazing singer.

Channing Tatum Teases “Magic Mike 2″

Yes, we know: you’re tired of all of this gratuitous male nudity, aren’t you? Well, you might want to skip this story.

Following the success of the semi-autobiographical “Magic Mike“, actor Channing Tatum (with Matthew McConaughey at the London premiere; above) gave way to the thought that a possible sequel or prequel might be coming.

“Yes, yes and yes!”, he teased during a Twitter chat for Glamour UK Magazine. “We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.”

Yeah… not gonna touch that one.

The movie has done quite well, banking about $78 million so far. Also, there are talks to bring the show to Broadway. So yep; more men shaking their thangs in thongs on stage. How tedious.

And if you believed any of that “annoyance” regarding this story, I have a bridge for sale that you might be interested in.

Kristin Chenoweth Has Bad Accident On “Good Wife”

Ouch!

Actress Kristin Chenoweth of “Wicked” fame was rushed to a New York hospital earlier today after a light fixture fell directly on top of her head while she filmed scenes for the CBS hit, “The Good Wife”.

A source tied to production told TMZ that Kristin was struck by piece of lighting equipment that fell over due to a wind gust. She fell over, only to smack her head directly on the concrete. Double ouch!

From TMZ:

The witness tells us Chenoweth was hit “square in the head” and appeared to be “knocked out cold.” The witness says, “I thought she was dead at first.”

Paramedics treated her at the scene and loaded her into an ambulance (with neck brace included). Get well soon… and look out for those wind gusts!

First “X-Factor” Promo Featuring Britney Spears

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og8wjNFERD8

Following the stories on Britney‘s actions during the auditions for the show, FOX released the first official promo for “The X-Factor” featuring the pop superstar.

In the short clip, the announcer questions if Britney has been hanging around Simon Cowell for too long as she bashes some really bad auditions.

My favorite one: “You can’t destroy that song, sweetie.” OUCH!

You can check out the promo for yourself or wait to see it in action when the second season of “The X-Factor” premieres September 12th.
