There aren’t many celebrity couples out there that I fully root for, but this was one I hoped would work things out.

After being separated for nearly 2 years, David Arquette filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Courteney Cox. The two met on the set of “Scream” back in 1995 and married 13 years ago to the day: June 12, 1999.

From TMZ:

Arquette cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. David filed the documents on Friday [June 8]. He is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Coco, who turns 8 tomorrow. He did not ask for spousal or child support.  There is no mention of how the property will be divided.

According to the report, David signed the papers in March of this year, so perhaps he was holding onto some hope. Even though they had separated, they remained friends, with Courteney even cheering David on during his “Dancing With The Stars” cycle.

Either way this goes, I wish them both the best of luck and little CoCo the easiest journey through this.
