Recently, the comic book loving nation was thrown into quite a tizzy when it was announced that Northstar, the openly gay member of X-Men, would wed his longtime beau, Kyle Jinadu in a future issue of “Astonishing X-Men” later this year.

The issue, #51, will hit stores on June 20th and the cover of the issue was recently leaked to the web. In it, Northstar (birth name: Jean-Paul Beaubie and Kyle stand on an alter holding hands while their fellow X-Men and guests watch on in sweetness and love.

In other gay comic news (because how often am I going to say that?), DC Comics, which produces Batman, has recently announced that they will be releasing an upcoming comic where one of their characters from that roster admits their homosexuality as well.

It probably seems a bit fast coming considering the latest endorsement from President Obama regarding same-sex marriage and all, but any positive push forward in the LGBT community is an awesome one.

Now, if we can just get Wolverine in some man-on-man action, that would be great.
