Literally. TMZ is reporting that Academy Award-winning actress Mo’Nique is being sued by her landlords for reneging on a $22,000-a-month rental deal. The owners of the property claim the star owes a total of $370,000 in rent and other charges. So why is she refusing to pay?

According to Mo’Nique, the house smells like dog feces, wet dog, and urine, making it unlivable. Additionally, the home has a mold problem and a broken security gate, leaving the star vulnerable to horrible smells, illness, and intruders (and leaving us to wonder why she ever signed a $22,000-a-month rental contract in the first place.)

A word of advice to Mo’Nique: Whenever my house starts to stink, I kick the guy out of my bed and wash the sheets. That usually does the trick. As for the broken security gate, it stands to reason that any criminal who breaks into the house will take one whiff of the offensive dog odor and turn right back around, so you’re probably safe.
