Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon officially debuted their 6-month-old twins last Friday on 20/20, giving Barbara Walters one more thing to brag about on The View this week. Carey talked about being a mom, how she stays in shape, and other equally boring things, but the best part of the interview was getting to see the diva spawn in the flesh.
First of all, the twins are adorable. They’ve got their dad’s charisma, and it looks like their mom’s crazy gene may have skipped a generation. But then things start to get a little dicey.
The baby’s names? Monroe and Moroccan Cannon. Yep. Looks like mommy came up with the names after receiving her epidural. Is it just me, or does Moroccan Cannon sound more like a foreign weapon than a name for a baby?
With a mom like Mariah Carey, one can only imagine what these kids will go through (like having anti-aging cream rubbed on their faces while their mother sings “Always Be My Baby” and rocks them to sleep), but let’s face it – these kids were bred for entertainment. Below is a list of little known facts about the Cannon Twins ™:
1. They came out singing runs (crying is hard on the vocal chords).
2. Their first steps were heel turn and kick-ball change.
3. They already have an audition lined up on America’s Got Talent.
4. They feign illiteracy just to avoid signing autographs.
5. They’ve been alive for about six months and made more money from these photos than you probably do in a year.
