A Colorado woman who called police to report a stolen TV remote control is not convinced she simply forgot where she put it after she later found it in her kitchen drawer!

“I don’t like to misplace things, I like to know where everything is,” she said. “I want to have a place for everything and I want everything in its place.”

After deputies arrived at her home to investigate the claim, their police report was picked up by news outlets and became a national punchline.

The woman–who wishes to remain anonymous–still insists the misplaced remote was no accident. “I just would never have put it there,” she said, adding that she would call the police if it happened again.
